Our Academy Story

Our Academy was born from the ambition to provide our people with an exciting, innovative and highly impactful way for them to excel in their careers.

In early 2023 SMEC ANZ partnered with Melbourne Business School to design and develop a highly bespoke and purposeful academy of learning that would drive strategic capability development and sustainable people growth for all SJ employees.

We have called this Our Academy. Within this will sit various strategic capability pillars and learning pathways designed to enhance both current and future skills. It is not just a learning experience. It is space where we are cultivating a culture of continuous growth, connection, and innovation.

Our Academy and its pillars are the strategic cornerstone of capability building at SJ, that continuously drives excellence for our people, enhances client value, and propels us toward our business objectives - cultivating a legacy for our future.
